Categories and brands group your products on the storefront and in reports.
Categories
Go to Categories to add, rename, reorder, and nest categories. A product can belong to one category; the order you set controls how categories appear on your storefront.
Tip: Pick your business type in Settings and use Apply starter setup to seed sensible starter categories for your vertical — it only adds categories you don't already have.
Brands
Go to Brands to manage the brands you stock. Assigning a brand to a product lets customers filter by brand and powers brand performance in your analytics.
